In a strategic move that strengthens its foothold in Central Europe, FLE SICAV FIS has acquired the newly built headquarters of MAKRO Poland in Warsaw. The cutting-edge facility serves as the company’s registered office and houses MAKRO’s innovative Academy of Inspiration, a hub for forward-thinking business solutions.
The newly developed 7,000 sqm complex is situated on Jerozolimskie Street, right next to MAKRO’s flagship store, highlighting its prime location in the Polish capital.
This acquisition is part of FLE’s broader strategy, having purchased the plot of land back in 2019 as part of a larger portfolio of 11 METRO/MAKRO stores across Central Europe.
What sets this acquisition apart is its focus on sustainability. The building adheres to the latest environmental standards, aligning with FLE’s long-term sustainability goals.
A long-term lease agreement further reinforces the deal, ensuring a stable and ongoing partnership between METRO/MAKRO and FLE.
FLE GmbH, based in Vienna, is part of the French LFPI Group, a multi-asset manager overseeing approximately EUR 28 billion in assets globally.
FLE serves as the group’s regional asset manager, focusing on real estate investments across the DACH and Central Eastern European regions, as well as forest investments throughout Europe.
